creating your container ~ the Cosmic SmashBook™
Many of us like to work inside a dedicated container ~ for example an altered book or Cosmic SmashBook™. Here is the basic way in:
Begin with a composition book, a glue stick, and a pen. Honor the book with written intentions ~ write on the inner covers, front and back, as well as the outer covers. This is the vibration that goes into your book, even if the words are later covered over or only peek through.
Keep the first and last page empty and free, ready to glue to the cover. Glue every two pages together as you go ~ this creates a sturdier page to work on, and gives you a place to put whatever wants clearing. Approach it as a meditation. Glue, scrunch, smash. If you have energy to release, let it go into the smash ~ add an essential oil, a prayer, an intention, right into the pages.
This is the beginning. Now you have a container ~ and each book you make will carry its own theme of energy and frequency.
~ a note on the cover, Kendall style ~
To give your cover more strength, take an office manila folder and smear it with Liquitex Gel Matte medium, then adhere it to the composition book. This strengthens the book and creates a surface that can hold the next layers. Write your intentions inside the folder, and on the outside too. Once the cover is in place, add a layer of color ~ Golden Fluid acrylics work beautifully, or whatever you already have on hand.
